Hen Parties

Afloat and Ashore has provided activities for many hen party groups and has received good feedback.

Let us organise your last day of freedom.

Chose from the following Hen Parties:-

Climbing Hen Party:
We use beginner friendly crags from South Lakes, Yorkshire Dales, Lancashire and the Peak District.
If you have never climbed before our fully qualified instructors will guide you expertly throughout the day.
For those of you who have a little experience there are plenty of harder climbs to try.

Abseiling Hen Party:
Have you got the nerve to walk backwards off the top of a cliff ? With help from your instructor, by the end of the session you will be abseiling like a professional. You may even be brave enough to try it blindfolded.

Raft Building Hen Party:
Build your own raft from barrels and poles and paddle it round the lake. Larger groups divide into teams and construct two rafts for a friendly racing competition. Who has the best design team ? Who has the best construction team ? Who has the most co-ordinated team ?
Our instructors will show you knots and offer help where necessary.

Sabotage probably isn't necessary.
One thing we can guarantee is that you will get wet.

Archery Hen Party:
Do we have any budding Maid Marions out there ? Using recurve bare bows you will be given plenty of time to practice and develop your aim before having a mini competition.
Then a bit of frivolity to see who can burst the balloons.

Raft building and archery can be themed where you come dressed as pirates or merry (wo)men.

Better still if you don't mind sharing the day with your intended, why not have a Hers and His Challenge - the evening can still yours to go and celebrate.
