Walk up the gorge of a moorland or mountain stream, scramble up waterfalls, and wade or swim through plunge pools.
The longer gorge walks of the Lake District or Wales are very atmospheric and lend themselves to part of a residential package.
The wetter the better!
Why not make a day of it and combine two activities. It can be linked depending on the venue, transport and your time limit, with one of the following:
Gorge walking is an activity where a complete change of clothes is vital, including shoes. The event takes place outdoors so you will need to bring suitable clothing for the prevailing conditions on the day.
The gorges are away from shops, so it is also advisable to bring any food or drinks you may require.
