Abseiling
Have you got the courage to walk off the edge of a cliff? With the excellent support and encouragement from our staff, even the faint of heart can experience the exhilaration of conquering their fears, and go on to try even more daring feats, such as abseiling blindfolded or the ultimate challenge for the totally insane - a face forwards abseil!
Afloat and Ashore Ltd are able to offer short abseils for birthday parties, the young or timid, through to something far more challenging for the gung-ho stag party, although it's not the height, it's actually stepping off the edge that's the hard part.
Abseils are ideal as fund raising activities for charity or school events, or even a small group raising funds for their own favourite cause.
Venues used are in the North West Pennine Moors, South Lakes, Anglesey, Lancashire, Yorkshire Dales and the Peak District.
The activity takes place outdoors so you will need to bring suitable clothing for the prevailing conditions on the day. Please note heels or sandals are not acceptable.
We are away from shops so it is also advisable to bring any food or drinks you may require.

We have provided abseils for The BBC, Blue Peter programme, Channel M Breakfast Show, Enteraction TV, and as a publicity stunt for Ben from Hollyoaks in the City, as well as many other individuals and organisations.
