Afloat and Ashore Ltd is a U.K. outdoor pursuits company based in Lancashire. We are pleased to be able to offer activities in and around the beautiful countryside of the North West Pennine Moors with it's wealth of gritstone climbing areas, as well as having the ability to travel further afield if clients so wish.
We are flexible in that we can design programmes specifically around your individual needs, be it purely for fun, as part of a training day, residential experience, a specific challenge, corporate event, competition, hen party, stag party, birthday party, Christmas present or a fund raising event.
We can offer sessions ranging from a couple of hours single activity taster, a whole day of two or three activity sessions dependant on choice and venues, through to overnight stays.
Residentials can be from self catering experiences, catered for, through to five star accommodation, dependant on your budget. We use Scout camps, Youth Hostels, bunkhouses, chalets and centres, in areas around the South Lakes, Anglesey, Gisburn Forest, Yorkshire Dales, Peak District and Greater Manchester.
We are able to offer Climbing, Abseiling, Archery, Orienteering, Team building exercises, Improvised Raft building, Open Canoeing, Kayaking, Gorge walks, Dinghy Sailing and Tyrolean traverses.
Clients are advised to note that certain combinations of activities cannot be offered on the same day due to logistics of travel from site to site, but other options may be available.

NNAS Bronze training and assessment.

Afloat and Ashore Ltd is registered with the Adventure Activities Licensing authority as licensed to provide specified activities under the following headings Climbing and Watersports, have full insurance cover and our staff hold the relevant national governing body awards from the:

British Canoe Union
Grand National Archery Association
British Orienteering Association
Royal Yachting Association
We also hold current 2 year First Aid Certificates and our Instructors carry safety sacks.
Our aim is to provide safe, quality, and fun sessions. All our equipment is of the highest standard, conforming to the CE guidelines.
